Right before winter break students completed this one day (make it and take it) twist on a traditional snowman project. We began by look at various abject from above, informing students that this was called ariel perspective: The way we see things from above. After drawing a snow-person from a front-view on the whiteboard we began to imagine what the three circles would look like from above. Students added arms which looked similar in both orientations, noses, eyes, scarves...As always, the kids really did a great job with these and we covered ariel perspective while having a little fun!
